The “Maria” star spoke about her children’s views on privacy.

Angelina Jolie’s children may have been born in the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean they’re interested in keeping it that way. In a new interview with Good Morning America, the actress spoke about her six children and how much they all value their privacy – some apparently more than others.
When asked by host Michael Strahan what it was like working with her two eldest sons, Maddox and Pax, on the set of Maria, Jolie replied, “It was incredible.” However, she was quick to note that “none” of her children “want to be in front of the camera.”

They are very private,” she shared, before describing daughter Shiloh as ‘extremely private’. Jolie added: “They weren’t born with privacy. I hope they can have that when they get older.

Jolie shares Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and the 16-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox with her ex-husband Brad Pitt.
And although none of the children are interested in following in their famous parents’ footsteps, some of the couple’s children have worked with Jolie behind the scenes on her projects. In addition to Maddox and Pax, who served as assistant directors on Maria, Vivienne worked with her mother on the Tony-winning musical adaptation of The Outsiders. Shiloh, for her part, is a dancer and trains at Movement Lifestyle Studio in Burbank, California, with choreographer Lil Kelaan Carter.

It’s not the first time Jolie has spoken out about her children’s desire for a normal life. At the AFI premiere of Maria in Los Angeles last month, she revealed to E! News that she doesn’t expect any of her children to become actors like their parents. “No, I think they’re particularly shy, very private people,” she told the network, adding, ”They want to be private.”
