It’s cozy but cute.
You might think that a great outfit requires a lot of effort. And that can certainly be the case – just think of layered looks and maximalist-inspired outfits. There are dimensions! There is boldness! There is intrigue! But sometimes you don’t want to spend too much time putting something together. It’s that time of year when it gets even harder to make the effort (just for me?), so I’m totally obsessed with Jennifer Garner’s casual, winter-ready combo that’s so comfy and cute.
The actress is known for keeping her looks understated. She tends to go for classic dungarees and casual jackets, but her latest outfit is the perfect combination of both: it’s equal parts classic and stylish, but simple, which is exactly why it’s a must-have for this season and beyond.

Garner opted for a foolproof two-piece combo: an olive green sweater and black skinny jeans, also known as the controversial denim style she’s worn many times before. A knit sweater is an absolute must for this time of year because it’s cozy and snug, but can also look incredibly chic depending on which silhouette you choose (like Garner’s). Her sweater was fitted rather than oversized, and I say don’t judge until you try it on. I naturally prefer a loose sweater, but after seeing Garner’s olive green version with a ribbed neckline, hem and sleeves, I’m curious to change up my oversized styles.
The most important lesson? A cozy, pretty outfit doesn’t have to take hours to put together. And with the holidays just around the corner and lots of lazy days spent indoors, it’s just what the doctor (er, fashion editor) ordered.
