Describe your perfect night out.
I usually stay in, but when I go out, my perfect night consists of a DJ set – two, maybe three hours – and then I get my butt home and get ready for the next work day. The night is still young, but it can be very long. And you can forget it. I don’t want to forget it, because then I’m lying on the floor.
What are your top getting-ready tracks?
I listen to a lot of new, up-and-coming artists. I love Doja Cat. I love Doechii. I try my best to stay in touch with Doechii as much as I can on social media, and I’m always promoting her and always lifting her up, so I’m happy to see her moving forward. She’s really getting the flowers she deserves now. I love Chloe x Halle. I’ve followed her career avidly. These girls are so talented. I love FLO from London – they are my favorite girl group right now. I’m a very big, avid fan of K-pop, so I listen to STAYC, KAACHI, XG. Listen to XG – these girls are not to be trifled with.
If you could get ready with any famous person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Joan Rivers, boy. I’d love to meet her up close and personal because she was obviously very racy, but when it came to beauty and glamor, she was all about that. She made sure her hair was done. She made sure her hair was always a certain style that she was used to. Her make-up was always on.

Describe your process for choosing a look for the night.
The inspiration for [the Clooney Foundation’s albies in New York in September] was the Greek goddess. We wanted a regal look, but also a tribute to the golden peplums that go with the toga and make her look really sublime. The hair had to be long and look luxurious, but still flowing and ethereal. She walks the world like an oracle! I wanted to feel special that night because the Albies are special; George and Amal Clooney really do a lot of work. I wanted to feel strong going there.
Describe your going-out beauty in three words.
Sophisticated, sexy, and sick.
As you’re getting ready, what products are guaranteed to be on your vanity and why?
The Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder from Charlotte TIlbury. I need it because it has such a great finish. A Hollywood Beauty Light Wand is essential. Their Peachgasm Beauty Light Wand is my favorite. Sometimes I use it full length, sometimes I don’t. It’s just so good. It blends really well into the skin. The Magic Cream is important before applying makeup.
As for hair, I naturally have a 4C texture, so quite frizzy hair, which is very, very nice, and it has tight curls. Shea Moisture is my favorite – it activates the curls and makes them lighter. They have all sorts of conditioners that are really great for girls with textured hair. I use them faithfully. I use a lot of their products. There’s also this sticky hold cream for edges and edge control, and it’s so good. It smells wonderful like vanilla and syrup and is so healthy for the scalp. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used it and watched my edges grow.
If you’re carrying an evening bag, what makeup or hair essentials do you keep on you?
I will bring a lipstick. I’m going to bring a Charlotte Tilbury Cheat Lip Liner in Foxy Brown – it’s my favorite lipstick. It goes with almost all the lipsticks she has. I will also always bring the Candy Chic Candy Pink Lipstick. It’s so soft and pastel, but not too overpowering. It’s subtle enough and also very soft. I also have a lip gloss with me. If I want a matte lipstick, that’s great, but if I want some variety and want to moisturize my lips, I have the Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir with me. And last but not least: powder. Powder is the most important thing I have to have. You always have to set it.
Skin care: In the morning we make a fresh, clean face. We exfoliate, and then we use the moisturizing oil to make sure I get the extremities and the blemishes. I also use her Magic Crystal Elixir Serum to protect and nourish the skin. I use the Magic Cream to make sure the makeup gets a smooth finish. My favorites at Pillow Talk are Plumgasm. Also Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder. And last but not least, the Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Foxy Brown. It’s so important for my special look.
What fragrance do you mist on before you run out the door?
Charlotte Tilbury Joyphoria I use almost every day, and Love Frequency I use almost every day. I like to spray it on because it’s so rich yet sexy and sophisticated. I mix the two, especially when I’m trying to be more youthful and fun, but also a bit more sophisticated. More sex? That’s what I go out with, and I want you all to smell me! When I walk across the room, I feel va-va-voom!
