They very rarely walk red carpets together.

Tom Holland and Zendaya are keeping their years-long romance a secret – and on purpose. In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Holland explained that he intentionally skips red carpets with his girlfriend, though it’s not for lack of pride in the actress. In fact, the reason is actually very sweet.
Holland explained that while he attends Zendaya’s premieres, he doesn’t walk the carpet with her “because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and when we go together, it’s about us.”

The same goes for other events he doesn’t have to attend, including live performances. He doesn’t want his fame or interactions with fans to interfere with the other actors in the project.

Although they are one of Hollywood’s most popular couples, Holland and Zendaya lead a fairly normal life away from fame. They share two dogs, Noon and Daphne, and he enjoys playing golf in his spare time. He recently played golf alongside a professional athlete and called Zendaya to tell her about the experience. “It was the best day of my life. I called my girlfriend and said, ‘Listen, I’m thinking about turning pro,’” he said.
He also recalled another moment when he wanted to prove to his girlfriend and a young cousin that he could still do a backflip, also revealing his cute nickname for Zendaya. “Z was there, and she was like, ‘Are you sure you can still do that?” he recalled, adding that he pulled off the trick but later paid the price. “I actually did it, but I pulled every muscle in my stomach because in a backflip you have to stretch up as far as you can and then fall over. I couldn’t laugh for weeks because my stomach hurt so much.”
During a recent appearance on the Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, Holland gushed that Zendaya was “the best thing that ever happened to me” and also praised her culinary skills. “I love Zendaya’s spicy vodka fusilli,” he said. “And it’s delicious.”
